10 telly films
Trainwreck Channel 5, 9pm, Sunday
An unlikely romance develops when magazine journalist Amy Townsend (Amy Schumer) interviews sports doctor Aaron Conners (Bill Hader).
Trainwreck is laced with sufficient biting wit and self-effacement to drink The Hangover and its crude imitators under the table – and seal victory with a rousing belch.
Morning Glory Film4, 6.55pm, Monday
TV producer Becky Fuller (Rachel Mcadams) and prize-winning journalist Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) attempt to revive ailing breakfast show, Daybreak.
It’s a frothy comedy laden with polished one-liners, distinguished by a scenery-chewing performance from Ford as the veteran news man.
2012 Sony Movie Channel, 9pm, Monday
A scientist predicts that the world is about to face a global cataclysm.
The movie’s biggest attraction is the chance to see the world coming to an end, and the special effects do not disappoint. Actors John Cusack and Chiwetel Ejiofor manage to stand out amid the lavish CGI.
Charade
Film4, 2.25pm, Tuesday
Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant make a delightful pairing in Stanley Donen’s enjoyable romantic thriller, which mixes stylish Hitchcock-esque intrigue with screwball comedy touches.
The impressive supporting cast includes Walter Matthau and James Coburn.
Black Swan
Film4, 11.25pm, Tuesday
Natalie Portman looks the part as a prima ballerina, but that’s not the only thing that makes her Oscar-winning turn in this psychological drama so impressive.
She’s positively haunting as Nina, a dancer who sets out to embrace her dark side after landing a coveted lead role.
Mission To Mars Sony Movie Channel, 3.45pm, Wednesday
When the crew of Mars One, the first successful manned mission to the red planet, lose contact with mission control, NASA hastily assembles a rescue team to touch down on the planet and scour for survivors.

Big Eyes
Film4, 9pm, Wednesday
Biopic of artist Margaret Keane, who famously took her husband to court in 1986 to prove he was a fraud.
The story is compelling enough to keep us watching, even if Tim Burton’s dramatisation of the Keanes’ romance and subsequent legal wranglings is sometimes light on fine detail.
The Three Musketeers Film4, 6.45pm, Thursday
The Musketeers learn of a plot masterminded by Cardinal Richelieu (Christoph Waltz) to impugn the Duke of Buckingham (Orlando Bloom).
A jolly romp, plying comedy, action and romance with a healthy dose of skullduggery.

Film4, 9pm, Friday
Gore-laden sword and sandals epic starring Russell Crowe as army general Maximus.
