Derek Mcinnes has opened up on the pressure of playing in the Granite City.

The Aberdeen manager answered his critics in midweek by steering the club into the Scottish Cup semis.

But he has revealed some home truths over what his players go through at Pittodrie.

The Dons boss said: “Sometimes in a one-club city, the demand and the quest for success is in danger of strangling and choking the players.

“It’s not always a help to them, but that’s the way it

is.”
