Livingston manager David Hopkin virtually conceded the title race was over and the league trophy was heading for Paisley after enduring a dreary stalemate with Falkirk at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

“I think the league is done,” stated Hopkin. “St Mirren would have won it two weeks ago. Our aim is to try to stay in the play-off positions and I think every result in the league has gone for us today. I have said before that a team like Livingston should not be challenging St Mirren for the league. We’ve had a magnificent February that made us remain in the Championship which was the aim at the start of the season.”
