Kinlochshiel claim derby spoils at kirkton
Marine Harvest Premiership leaders Kinlochshiel were 5-2 derby winners against Skye Camanachd at Kirkton.
Ali Nixon, two from Jordan Fraser and Keith Macrae had ‘Shiel 4-0 ahead at the break. Skye’s Jordan Murchison scored twice in the second half, either side of Macrae’s second.
Second-placed Kyles Athletic came from behind to beat Newtonmore 2-1 at The Eilan. Ewan Fraser put ‘More ahead, but Roddy and Colin Macdonald gave Kyles both points.
Lochaber were 3-0 victors against Caberfeidh at Castle Leod. Shaun Nicolson scored twice and John Mackenzie got the other.
James Macpherson gave Glenurquhart the lead against Lovat at Balgate. Marc Maclachlan drew Lovat level before Greg Matheson’s late winner.
Oban Camanachd recorded their first win of the season, beating Kingussie 2-0 at Mossfield. An early Daniel Macvicar goal, and a late Andrew Maccuish penalty sealed the win.
Oban’s Daniel Sloss and Kings’ Ryan Macwilliam were both sent off.
In the Marine Harvest National Division, it finished 1-1 between Oban Celtic and leaders Glasgow Mid Argyll at Mossfield.
Daniel Madej gave the Oban side the lead, but Calum Mclay earned GMA a valuable point.
Alexander Macmillan netted as Fort William beat Inverness 1-0 to go second.
