LOTHIAN THISTLE HV knocked SPARTANS out of the South Regional Cup 3-2. The East of Scotland side coasted to a 3-0 lead through a Connor Mcgregor brace (one a penalty) and Kevin Brown. David Greenhill Stephen Macdonald netted for Spartans.

DALBEATTIE STAR crashed out 2-1 (aet) to SAUCHIE JUNIORS. Mark Sharp put Sauchie ahead, but Dean Brothersto­ni equalised, then hit the bar. But, in the 115th minute, Ryan Sharp fired home the winner and Star’s misery was added to with Lee Wells getting a second yellow. KELTY HEARTS coasted through with a 5-0 win over South of Scotland side LOCHMABEN with Scott Taylor and Stuart Cargill giving them a 2-0 interval lead. Cargill and Taylor added two more with Elliot Ford getting the fifth with four minutes left.

BSC GLASGOW stormed into a four-goal interval lead against Edusport Academy and ended up 5-2 winners. Thomas Orr got a first-half hat-trick and John Mitchell got the other. Orr made it 5-0 in the 54th minute, but two late goals from David Sinclair (pen) and Calvin Cowie made the score more respectabl­e for Edu.

Cup holders CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS were 5-0 winners over South side UPPER ANNANDALE, with four in the first half from Jordan Hopkinson (2), Keith Murray and Alive Faye, Cammy Moorhead hit the fifth after 61 minutes. EAST KILBRIDE got a 2-0 win over BO’NESS UNITED, but the ex-junior side put up a fight until the 58th minute when Ross Mcneill got the opener. It was the 88th minute before Paul Woods got the second to make sure. STIRLING UNI scraped through 2-1 against DALKEITH THISTLE after Blair Lyons gave them a 51st-minute lead, only to see Ryan Mcqueenie equalise. But Rory Macewan got a late winner for Stirling. EAST STIRLINGSH­IRE won 1-0 against GLASGOW UNIVERSITY. Ross Allum got the only goal.

VALE OF LEITHEN crashed out 4-2 at home to JEANFIELD SWIFTS, while GRETNA 2008 were 1-0 winners over WHITEHILL WELFARE.
