Bogdan would be happy to stay a Hibee

Adam Bogdan last night revealed he is open to the idea of making his stay at Hibs permanent.

The on-loan Liverpool keeper has made 13 appearances for Neil Lennon’s side since arriving in the summer.

With his Anfield contract set to expire in the summer, he expects to move on. And after falling in love with Edinburgh, the Hungarian would not be averse to signing a deal at Easter Road.

“My contract with Liverpool finishes at the end of the season and that is when my loan here finishes, too,” he said.

“But there is no pressure about where I go.

“I’m very much in the mindset of enjoying my game, and taking it game by game.

“It would appeal to me to stay here, of course. It’s a very appealing club.

“The city is fantastic, the supporters are great, and there are some really, really fantastic people at the club.

“But I don’t really want to go in that direction now. I just want to focus on my job and enjoy it.”

Like everyone on the park at Pittodrie on Friday night, Bogdan found the blustery conditions tough during Hibs’ narrow loss to Aberdeen.

It was the Hibees’ third defeat in four games.

But Bogdan is confident the Easter Road side can rediscover their shooting boots – and their winning form – after the international break.

“The conditions were very difficult and there wasn’t much in the game because of that,” he said.

“Apart from Celtic, we haven’t lost many goals in the last seven or eight games, but the results haven’t been the ones we would have hoped for.

“We haven’t scored for a couple of games now, which is not like us. We’ve been known to score a lot of goals. “But I’m hoping we can use these two weeks to get together again and work on our performance.

“Apart from the last few results, I’m really enjoying my time at Hibs.

“Edinburgh is great – I’m very happy. I’m also happy in the squad, it’s a great group of lads.

“I’m pretty sure we’re going to regroup now and start winning again.”
