The kitchen is plain white, high gloss but its surfaces are in wood to reflect what Craig describes as “the natural feel of the house.” Each bathroom has its own individual design, with the downstairs room evoking peace and elegance with wood panelling, and a central organic bath. Another has a nautical feel, while the third is modern chic with matching high gloss tiles on the wall and floor. “Finding the right sofas for the lounge took some time,” Craig reveals. “My wife was set on velvet, for a luxury feel and we both thought the deep blue colour perfectly reflected the sea. The flooring is solid oak, which we thought was essential in such a beautiful, natural location. “The wall art in the kitchen is Irises by Van Gogh. We chose this because the beautiful colours, particularly the purples, seemed to be Scottish and echo those around Seashore House. “The large painting in the lounge is a batik print given to me as a present in Fiji many years ago. It depicts the view looking from sea to land in Fiji, but for us it reflects all of the elements that are so special in the view from Seashore House.”

Seashore House is available for rent with Unique Cottages.
