CARNOUSTIE moved seven points clear in the East Region Super League after coming from behind to beat KIRRIE THISTLE 5-2. Kirrie took the lead through Ryan Cormack early on, but the Gowfers equalised through Gordon Mcdonald in 35 minutes, then Sam Simpson gave them a half-time lead. Mcdonald struck again six minutes after the restart, then Pauk Mclellan chipped in with a quickfire double before Dale Reid pulled one back for Kirrie. TAYPORT looked set to make it three wins in a row when goals from Dayle Robertson and Liam Mcartney gave them a two-goal lead against LOCHEE UNITED. But the Bluebells came storming back with Greg Kirk pulling one back just on half-time, then Danny Cavanagh cracked in the equaliser on the hour mark. It looked like heading for a draw, but Kevin Milne grabbed a last-minute winner for Lochee.

Owen Mccabe gave NORTH END the lead against LUNCARTY, but the Perthshire side hit back to level and it ended in a 1-1 draw.

It finished all square at FAULDHOUSE, where the home side drew 2-2 with THORNTON HIBS. Andrew Adam gave Hibs the lead in 51 minutes. but the hosts hit back with two goals before Dave Coleman rescued a point for Hibs. EAST CRAIGIE maintained their position at the top of the Premier League with their 4-0 win over BRECHIN VICS stretching their unbeaten run to 15 matches. Paul Moran gave them the lead and this was followed by goals from Adam Brown, George Johnston and Ben Garrick. Second-placed Blairgowri­e were involved in a goal glut with LOCHEE HARP, with the Davie Park side scoring a last-minute winner for a 5-4 victory. Gary Axworthy scored a double for Blair, with Ian Plenderlei­th, Matty Adam and Darren Neave also netting. Harp, who were 3-1 up at one stage, were a bit unlucky to lose, with their goals coming from a Nathan Scott double, Brian Harris and a trialist.

In the West, Mcbookie. com Premiershi­p leaders KILWINNING RANGERS went down 2-1 at GLENAFTON, where goals from Joe Andrew and Matthew Reilly had the hosts two up before Ben Lewis replied.

There were no North Region fixtures played yesterday.
