A single goal from Michael Clark settled a close-fought encounter between Vale and Turriff.

The strong wind was in the home side’s favour in the first half. but there were few clear-cut chances.

Kyle Willox came closest for Vale with an 18-yard drive, while Danail Dimov blasted over for the away outfit.

Robert Ward wasted a great opportunity to open the scoring for Turriff when he fired high over the crossbar after Dimov created the opening.

However, Vale broke the deadlock after 72 minutes as Jody Munro’s cross to the back post was headed home by Clark from 10 yards.

Harry Noble shot wide from the edge of the box eight minutes from time before Scott Dunn saw a late strike chalked off as he was in an offside position

Brora rangers 3 KEITH 1

This game went very much according to the script for the league leaders as they took another step closer to the SHFL title.

The arrival of Andy Macrae from Forres continues to look like a masterstroke and he made the difference in the first 45 minutes, beating goalkeeper David

Dey twice to put the Cattachs comfortably ahead.

Paul Brindle nipped in to add a third early in the second half, but, to their credit, Keith kept battling away and gained a deserved consolation goal with two minutes remaining, Cammy Keith firing past Joe Malin from the penalty spot.

Lossie took a surprise lead with a wonderful goal.

Kyle Willis moved the Coasters forward before flicking the ball back to Brodie Allan and his drilled ball across was sidefooted home by Ryan Sewell.

Sam Urquhart levelled for Buckie from the spot after Willis fouled Scott Adams. Despite propping up the table, Lossie looked the more likely to win the game, but their inability to take advantage of their opportunities came back to haunt them in the closing stages of the game.

An Andy Macaskill corner resulted in a goalmouth melee that was ended when Lewis Mackinnon forced home to put the hosts in front.

Steve Ross added insult to injury with a third following good play by Callum Murray

Formartine united 5 Huntly 0

United went ahead when Craig Mckeown dived to head home a Dan Park free-kick.

The home team doubled their advantage just after the halfhour when Scott Lisle danced his way past two Huntly defenders and slotted the ball underneath goalkeeper John Farquhar.

Right on the stroke of halftime, a run from Graeme Rodger resulted in the third goal as he hit a fine strike from just inside the box.

Jordan Layden lifted the ball over Farquhar for fellow-subtitute Gary Mcgowan to tap home the fourth from a position that looked suspiciously offside. Layden then rounded the goalkeeper to fire home a fifth in time-added.

Veteran forward Neil Gauld opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a fantastic chest-andvolley effort.

Chris Angus scored a wonderful second, eight minutes before the break, when he swiveled and shot from 22 yards, leaving Michael Maccallum helpless.

Angus created the third with some excellent footwork that gave Ryan Stott a tap-in.

Scott Morrison made it two goals in successive games as his deflected effort flew in to pull one back.

However, Gauld restored the three-goal advantage from the penalty spot after he had been tripped by Maccallum.
