The world has shifted...but we promise to bring you something to smile about

- EDITOR, JAYNE SAVVA JSAVVA@DCTMEDIA.CO.UK

Last week I joked about writing from my bunker. Seven days later and that doesn’t feel quite so farfetched. It does feel like we are living in a disaster movie right now. A virus is rampaging through the world and scientists are in a race against time to find a vaccine – Arnold Schwarzenegger even made an appearance on social media with his pet donkey called Lulu (because things aren’t surreal enough), warning the over-65s to stay at home. Meanwhile, everyone is trying to hold onto some kind of normality, which isn’t easy when life as we know it has changed beyond recognition. We are all having to adapt and you’ll notice this week’s P.S. is missing some of your favourites. It didn’t feel right to have foreign travel pages when the world is in lockdown, but we will continue with UK destinations and days out. We have given our Scone Spy a holiday too. Instead, on pages 12&13, we’ve asked Batch Cooking Queen Suzanne Mulholland (pictured above) to share her tips on making family meals. There’s no denying the months ahead are going to be tough but we will continue to bring as much cheer into your lives as possible. Many of us will be confined to the house so we will have even more TV highlights.this week we catch up with Shirley Henderson, who stars in Glasgow-based thriller The Nest (pages 6&7) while on page 19 Mel and Sue talk about their new left-field comedy playing hitmen. And in our new Staying In pages you’ll find the best books, music, radio and podcasts.

If there’s anything else you’d like us to cover we’d love to hear from you. Remember, we’re all in this together.
