However, Sergio Leon’s 73rd-minute goal made for a jittery finish to the game, but they held out for the three points.

At the Jose Alvalade Stadium, SPORTING LISBON extended their lead at the top of Portugal’s Primeira Liga to four points with a 2-0 home victory over fourth-placed SPORTING BRAGA.

Both goals came in the second half.

Pedro Gonclaves put the hosts in front nine minutes after the interval, with Matheus Nunes securing the full dividend with his 78th-minute counter.
