Bonnyrigg dominant in Berwick win

LEADERS BONNYRIGG ROSE stay four points clear at the top of the table after a 3-0 win over BERWICK RANGERS. They led at the interval thanks to a Ross Gray goal in the 32nd minute. After the interval, they dominated and some fine work by Mcgachie ended with Callum Connolly slotting home the second. In the 71st minute, a tremendous drive from Kerr Young made sure of the points.

DALBEATTIE STAR had a 3-1 victory over local rivals GRETNA 2008, who are looking for a manager after Rowan Alexander was sacked in midweek. Russell Currie hit the Star opener in seven minutes, but it was nine minutes into the second half before Lewis Sloan set up Currie for his second. On 85 minutes, Gretna got back into the match when Josh Cooper scrambled home, but, soon after, Dean Brothersto­n got a third for Star.

SPARTANS got a narrow 2-1 win over CIVIL SERVICE STROLLERS. They went ahead on 42 minutes with an Aaron Murrell shot, but Strollers were level in 69 minutes with an Alleau Fay strike. Nine minutes from time, Jamie Dishington got the winner for Spartans.

CUMBERNAUL­D COLTS got a well-deserved 2-0 win over struggling EAST KILBRIDE. Colts led in the 27th minute when Sean Winter slammed home a penalty after Ewan Macpherson was brought down. They went two ahead nine minutes on 54 when Daniel Hatfield poked home a Dylan Forest pass.

GALA FAIRYDEAN ROVERS got the biggest win of the day with an 8-0 thrashing of VALE OF LEITHEN, with Zander Murray hitting a first half hattrick. Daryl Healy put the Fairies ahead on 10 minutes with a penalty and got a second four minutes later. Then Marc Berry hit No. 3 on 20 minutes, with Murray getting his third before the turn. Berry (56) and Martin Scott (76) brought the tally to eight.

The battle of the university sides saw STIRLING and EDINBURGH draw 4-4. Mcarthur put Stirling ahead early on, but Condie levelled in the 15th minute and Lawson put them ahead soon after. Then Doan levelled three minutes later with a penalty. Edinburgh went 3-2 up in the 46th minute with a Spelman header, but Mcgill quickly squared things only to see the visitors make it 4-3 on 55 minutes through Lawson. Mcgill got an equaliser on the hour.

BO’NESS UNITED threw away a 3-1 lead and had to settle for 3-3 draw against EAST STIRLINGSH­IRE.
