Bikey comes off bench to notch winner

-

STIRLING ALBION notched their third straight league win to end FORFAR ATHLETIC’S unbeaten start and leapfrog their visitors to go third in the table.

Substitute Dylan Bikey came off the bench to emerge the hero as he scored the only goal of the game with just nine minutes left following a corner.

In-form Kyle Doherty scored a late winner for ALBION ROVERS as they saw off COWDENBEATH 2-1. Max Wright opened for the hosts early on and he could have had a second goal 10 minutes from

the break when he headed wide after Doherty picked him out at the back post. The Blue Brazil hit back towards half-time and Ross Clarke levelled in injury-time with a back-post finish from Fraser Mullen’s cross. But it was Doherty who struck the decisive goal with eight minutes left following a corner-kick.

STENHOUSEMUIR beat hosts ANNAN ATHLETIC 2-1. The visitors broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the restart when Thomas Orr finished off well with a shot into the net from an acute angle. They then went two up with nine minutes left when Adam Brown fired home a shot from 12 yards into the bottom corner. In the 86th

minute, Annan’s Robert Mccartney headed in a cross from close in to set up a grandstand finish.

Just one goal decided the STRANRAER v EDINBURGH CITY encounter and it was Ouzy See’s close-range finish nine minutes from time which saw City pick up three points at Stair Park.

KELTY HEARTS stay top and keep their unbeaten record, but only just – and, thanks to a stoppage-time equaliser, grabbed a point in a scrappy encounter against ELGIN CITY. City took the lead on the half-hour mark when Darryl Mchady was fouled in the box by Dougie Hill and Archie Macphee made no mistake with his spot-kick. Deep into stoppage-time, Kallum Higginbotham fastened on to a through ball and hammered it into the net out of the reach of keeper Thomas Mchale.
