Soothing Body Oil by Upcircle, £29.99, upcirclebeauty.com

I have long suffered with dry skin on my legs, especially around my knees and ankles. Combined with my skin being slightly sensitive, I have struggled to find a moisturiser that does the job.

So when I got the opportunity to try Upcirlce’s brand new Soothing Body Oil, which is made with upcycled passion fruit oil, I was keen. I had tried body oils in the past but found them greasy, so I was sucked in by promises that this one wouldn’t be.

The brand

Upcircle is a really interesting brand. They are committed to creating waste-free skincare and use by-products from other industries to make their skincare and haircare. Ingredients include upcycled coffee grounds, blueberry extract, olive stones and more.

Scent and packaging

The glass bottle makes this body oil feel luxurious and I love the minimal branding. The scent is like a fruity spa, if you can imagine that.

First impressions

I was thrilled to find the body oil delivered on its promise of not being greasy. I used a few pumps down each leg and it soaked in really quickly. There were no signs of irritation and the scent lingered in a lovely way.

Lasting impressions

It took using this product twice a day for around a week for me to notice a real difference. I looked forward to using it as I loved the scent and how easy it was to use, without the need to wash any residue off my hands. My legs are feeling a lot smoother in general with a noticeable difference around my knees and ankles, just as I had hoped. The bottle is quite small, but a little goes a long way so I wouldn’t object to repurchasing. I have started using it all over my body and am happy with the results so far.
