ROY CARTER has been a Sky customer for more than 25 years.

In March 2010, Roy, from Somerset, upgraded his package to HD. At the same time one of his multiroom boxes also changed to HD.

Recently he had a close look at his viewing package and discovered he’d been charged for an n extra multiroom subscription of £10 a month for two years. rs.

However, Sky disputed this and actually said that he owed them £23.58 which they aimed to recover.

Yet no matter how many times Roy contacted Sky he could make no progress.

He emailed Raw Deal.We contacted Sky and this was soon sorted.

A spokesperson told us: “We have apologised to Mr Carter and have now removed the outstanding balance from his account.

“The problem was a result of two Sky viewing cards being paired with the same Sky+ box.

“We have offered a goodwill credit to cover the cost of the extra charges incurred.

“Mr Carter is more than happy with this outcome.”

Roy said: “After two years trying to get a senior manager to speak to me without success, it took Raw Deal’s intervention to get this sorted.

“Sky have cancelled the £23.58 outstanding and are refunding the £200+ overcharge. Many thanks for all your help.”
