Garda treats

-

LIMONE

A beautiful little resort, famous for its lemon and olive groves.

LAKE ROAD

Around 100 miles long with more than 70 tunnels, skirting the edge of the lake – think James Bond scenery. Stunning!

LOCAL MARKETS

Most towns and villages have a market once a week. Well worth a visit to pick up a bargain.

RIVA DEL GARDA

Take a ferry to the top of the lake to fully appreciate the variety of towns along the way.

SIRMIONE

At the bottom end this is the busiest port on the lake with the largest Roman ruins in Italy.

IL VITTORIALE GARDENS AND MUSEUM

A hidden gem with part of a hull of an old battleship built into the mountainside gardens.

FERRIES

A great way to explore the lake and get a different view of the towns and villages along it.

PASSEGGIATA

Locals love to take a stroll along the lakeside promenade or passeggiata before dinner. Why not join them?

MALCESINE.

Another lovely town. Take a cable car up the mountainside for spectacular views of Lake Garda and the mountains beyond.

APEROL SPRITZ

Stop at any cafe around the lake and you’ll find people enjoying this brightly coloured bitter orange drink. It’s lovely and refreshing on a sunny afternoon as you watch the world go by.
