Family love cannot break

-

Dear June

RECENTLY I lost my sister and find it very hard.

I was with her at the end although she wasn’t conscious.

She had been in a coma for a week but my other sister and I were there every day once we found out.

Due to family problems we hadn’t had much contact for about a year.

Margo, Kilsyth.

June Says

I have yet to meet a family who have never suffered from family politics, as disagreements are a natural part of growing up.

We are all different and as we grow we develop our own characters and opinions which won’t suit everyone.

Although unconscious, your sister would have been aware of both of you.

I get the impression she was of the same stubborn nature as her sisters and I feel the determination and strength of character of you all is very much a family characteristic.

We are all human and throughout our physical lives there will be family turbulence.

Through each and every argument and fallout we gain a better understanding and life experience, which over time allows us to appreciate that life is precious but also fragile as it can be taken away in an instant.

You did not know your sister was ill but when you found out you were there by her side to support her and to put the argument behind you where it belongs.

Your family loyalty and love cannot be broken and remains strong between the two worlds.
