LEE CLARK is still looking for the “special one” to replace Josh Magennis in his Kilmarnock squad.

The manager will carry on scouring the transfer market, despite Souleymane Coulibaly coming up with a spectacular winner.

The Ivory Coast striker came off the bench to grab the points with a brilliant turn and shot.

It was agoal and victory that softened the blow of Magennis being sold to Charlton Athletic.

Clark, however, is keen to add more firepower to his squad.

He said: “We’ve lost a big player in Josh and I’m looking to add players.

“We tried for a direct replacement but the wages being asked for were too much.

“Souleymane has already scored another couple of goals like his winner.

“We have an abundance of talent in the forward areas, but who’s to say that special one might not pop up in the next few days?

“What the attacking players are doing right now is pressuring me to play two up front. It’s something for me to think about.”

The decision to start Kris Boyd as a lone striker was indeed a curious one.

Kilmarnock were most threatening during the end of their opening league game against Motherwell when they fielded a two-man attack.

That proved to be the case again yesterday.

Boyd looked a lot more comfortable when Coulibaly was introduced.

Hamilton had controlled most of the first-half and created several decent chances before going ahead when Louis Longridge fired home a low shot.

Boyd missed a couple of good chances in the second half and that might have discouraged a less experienced man, but he kept scrapping away and eventually got his reward.

Jordan Jones delivered a cross from the left flank and the veteran headed home from the centre of the goalmouth.

Hamilton were dismayed by the slack defending and were still debating the issue when Coulibaly conjured up his wonder goal.

Accies’ boss Martin Canning was frustrated at watching the game slip away from his side.

He said: “I believe we were the better team. I’m sure we would have gone on to win if we’d scored a second goal.

“It was a day when decisions went against us and our finishing let us down.”
