Evil Ahmed continues to incite violence from prison

-

PRISON chiefs are believed to be “well aware” the cold-blooded killer continues to agitate from behind bars.

Ahmed, 32, has made five phone calls from prison that have surfaced on video-sharing sites.

Earlier this month, Scottish MP Margaret Ferrier wrote to the chief executive of the Scottish Prison Service, Colin McConnell, urging him to “investigate this matter”.

The messages, posted on YouTube and in Urdu, include Ahmed urging his followers: “There’s only one punishment for insulters: cut off their heads, cut off their heads, cut off their heads.”

Police Scotland officers have launched a probe into the messages, which could constitute an alleged hate crime.

A police spokeswoman last night confirmed the force was continuing to assess the matter.

Insiders at the Scottish Prison Service revealed it had been monitoring Ahmed.

A source said: “We know what we’re doing. This hasn’t been news to us.”

Officially, however, the SPS was keen to stress it did not comment on individual cases.

Ahmed himself has never shown any remorse. Indeed, he seemed to revel in his crime, guided by the warped notion he was in the right for killing ‘a blasphemer’.

At sentencing, Judge Lady Rae said Ahmed had carried out a “brutal, barbaric, horrific crime” that was in effect an “execution”, for which he had shown no remorse.

“You seem oblivious to the fact that you have devastated a family,” she told him.

As he was taken down, Ahmed shouted: “Muhammad is the prophet, he is the only one.”

Followers gathered inside the courtroom returned the sentiment, with a collective voice, as the killer was forced downstairs into the holding cells.
