All set for a big day at Chepstow
ALL SET TO GO looks to be a nap selection with a big shout for Paul Nicholls in the Class 2 handicap hurdle at Chepstow this afternoon.
The five- year- old hasn’t see the racecourse since he was second to Gwafa in the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock, in March, when just denied a hatrick.
Gwafa went on to run Red Tornado close in Market Rasen’s Summer Hurdle. Today’s riding arrangements in this competitive heat are worth exploring.
Nicholls has engaged apprentice Sam Sheppard for the top weight, taking 7lb off his welter burden, while stable jock Sam TwistonDavies rides One More Go.
Dolos looks to be the one for the same trainer in the opening juvenile hurdle after Twiston- Davies has opted for him and not the yard’s previous winner, Cliffs Of Dover.
Dolos makes his British debut – after just one run in France – when, but for a mistake at the last hurdle at Auteuil, the gelding might have been coming here with a penalty.
He travelled supremely well through the race in France. With that experience behind him and a little break since joining Nicholls, he might be really decent.
Yet another Nicholls’ runner – El Bandit – bids for a four-timer in the novice hurdle. But may have to give best to the Philip Hobbstrained five- year- old, No Comment.
