BEST MANAGER YOU PLAYED FOR?

DEREK ADAMS was great for me and all the Ross County lads when he was up at Dingwall.

BEST PLAYER YOU PLAYED WITH?

CHRISTOPHE DUGARRY at Birmingham City. A World Cup winner with France who played for Barcelona and Milan, Dugarry was on a different planet. When he wasn’t getting fit in the reserves with me, he single-handedly kept us in the Premier League in 2003-04.

BEST PLAYER YOU PLAYED AGAINST?

THERE have been a few, but I would have to say David Weir, who read the game so well it really did feel like he knew what you were going to do before you did.

TURNING POINT IN YOUR CAREER?

EASY one. Mid-season 2009-10, Terry Butcher wanted me out of Caley Thistle and had me training with the kids, I switched to Ross County on the last day of the winter transfer window went straight into the team and enjoyed a run to the Scottish Cup Final.

BEST GOAL YOU SCORED?

I HAD a happy knack of scoring on debuts over the years, but the 30-yard, right-foot volley I netted for Walsall against Scunthorpe was the pick of them.

BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT IN YOUR CAREER?

THE 2010 Scottish Cup run with Ross County was tremendous, but just realising my dream of becoming a professional footballer was great.

MOST MEMORABLE GAME?

THE victory over Celtic in the 2010 Scottish semi which sent Ross County to their first major final. We played our hearts out and fully deserved the win which, I believe, lifted the club to another level.

BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR CAREER?

MY parents, Cliff and Edith, were a huge support to me in my early years and I always felt I was doing it for them as well as myself.

BEST STORY ABOUT A TEAM-MATE?

THE current ICT manager and my former neighbour, Richie Foran, responded to the snowballing of his windows by myself, Adam Rooney and Jonny Hayes by barricading the door to my house with mountains of snow! It genuinely took me an hour to dig my way in.

SECRET ABOUT YOU?

I PLAN to return to football with a degree in business management. I’m on placement with the SFA just now, which gives me an insight into the behind-the-scenes workings of the game.
