Police search for missing Glasgow woman
POLICE are searching for a woman not seen since Tuesday, when she left her home without her dog, mobile phone or any money.
Janet McQueen, 58, told her neighbour she was going to see family when she was last seen at her home at Langside Road in the Go vanhill area of Glasgow at around 10pm on Tuesday, October 18.
Ms McQueen is described as white, 5ft and of slim build with short black hair.
When last seen, she was wearing glasses, a navy blue anorak and dark- coloured trousers.
Inspector Gary Ritchie said: “Earlier on Tuesday afternoon, Janet had been on a bus in Baillieston, where, due to the fact she seemed a bit distressed, the bus driver called police who took her home to family.
“However, it would appear that around 10pm, she left her home again.”
Her family say it is unusual for Ms McQueen to not make contact.
Ins Ritchie added: “Every morning, Janet usually goes to from her home in Langside Road to the Sir John Stirling Maxwell pub in Kilmarnock Road, Shawlands, for a cup of coffee and cake, and sometimes later in the afternoon, the James Tassie public house, but she hasn’t been seen in either recently.
“I would appeal to anyone who knows Janet, or who may have seen her since Tuesday, to call officers at Cathcart Police Office on 101.”
