Crivvens! It’s another album from The Broons

- By Murray Scougall

THE BROONS have been bringing down the house around the country on their current stage tour.

And it’s not just laughs they’ve been providing, as they have also been displaying their musical talents with a number of songs peppered throughout the show.

Music has always been a big part of The Broons’ life and the latest album from Scotland’s favourite family will be released on November 4.

I Grew Up With The Broons features more than 100 songs on four CDs – that’s more than five hours of music.

The ultimate nostalgia collection is divided into four categories – First Music Memories, Songs From the Playground, Youth Club Record Night and Matinee and TV Favourites.

The diverse range of artists includes Frank Sinatra, The Goons, Elvis and Jimmy Young.

This is the fifth Broons CD and last year The Broons’ Big Braw Party Album was the bestselling compilation in record stores in Scotland.

Gordon Campbell of The Music Kitchen label, which produces the albums, said: “I‘ve been reliably informed that record stores are already being regularly asked for the new album.

“Fingers crossed it does as well as the others. Everyone seems to like the fact each CD has a different theme that will hopefully remind them of their time growing up with The Broons.”

I Grew Up With The Broons is available from November 4.
