League 2 Round-up

BRAD POTTS scored twice as Blackpool came from behind to beat Doncaster 4-2.

Rovers struck inside the first minute as James Coppinger’s cross was deflected into his own net by Andy Taylor, but Blackpool were level when Potts was played through in the area and calmly slotted home.

Kelvin Mellor somehow looped the ball over Marko Marosi from the right by-line and then Potts dispatched a thunderbolt of a free-kick to make it 3-1.

Kyle Vassell added a fourth from 18 yards, with Rovers puling one back when Tommy Rowe scored from the spot, before the same player saw a second penalty saved by Sam Slocombe.

Carlisle moved up to second by extending their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 win at Stevenage.

Jason Kennedy gave the Cumbrians an early lead, but Matt Godden equalised with a penalty, before a 57th-minute spot-kick from Danny Grainger sealed a fourth straight league victory.

Morecambe sub Lee Molyneux came off the bench to score a late equaliser and earn his side a deserved 2-2 draw at Colchester.

Chris Porter fire United ahead and Morecambe missed a 16th-minute penalty when Tom Barkhuizen’s spot-kick was saved by Sam Walker, but he quickly atoned when he equalised 11 minutes later.

Colchester restored their lead through Porter’s spotkick, but Morecambe earned a point when Molyneux’s free-kick went through Walker’s hands and in.

Josh Laurent fired Hartlepool ahead against Leyton Orient, but the visitors roared back to take the points, with Sandro Semedo and a Ollie Palmer double sealing the home side’s fate.
