smiles of the week

-

beloved boaty

It was nice to see Sir David Attenborough at the start of construction of the polar research ship named after him. But to us it will always be Boaty McBoatface!

family matters

With the kids having been on hols, or in some cases still on them, it’s great to reflect on the quality time you get to spend with them. It all passes so quickly, you should treasure those weeks.

nature’s gifts

Even if you’re an “oldie” do you still get a thrill when you spot a shiny conker lying on the ground? We do!

we’re over it!

A rare “moonbow” was photographed over northern England. Nature never fails to amaze and impress.

life is sweet

A friend of this column sent in a box of chocolate biscuits to say “thanks for the smiles”. Well, she’s just added a few more chocolatey ones!

a what?!

One of the iN10 team was on his hols last week and came across a mouse deer (pictured above). That’s right, a deer the size of a mouse! Sadly he didn’t sneak it back. Booo!

tick-tock

It’s the last week before the clocks go back. Make the most of the extra hour of sunlight before it goes away.

picture perfect

Here’s an idea to spread the smiles – Spend a few minutes going through old photos, and send copies out of the blue to the other people in the them.

guardian angel

An elderly woman who was stuck in her bath for four days was rescued by a waitress who realised she had not come in for her usual lunch. Just goes to show the power of caring.

just do it

When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.
