SECOND-PLACED Carlisle remained unbeaten following a 3-1 victory against Crawley.

Jabo Ibehre headed in a long throw from Tom Miller to break the deadlock in the fifth minute and Jason Kennedy doubled the Cumbrians’ lead with his fifth goal in as many league matches from close in.

It was three on the stroke of half-time when Luke Joyce crashed in a 25-yard shot off the crossbar and Crawley grabbed a consolatio­n at the death when Mark Connolly turned the ball in.

Graham Westley secured his first win as Newport boss with a 3-1 win at Accrington. Rhys Healey gave the Exiles the lead 90 seconds into the second half and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb doubled their advantage.

Janoi Donacien pulled a goal back for Accrington with a volley at the far post, but Josh Sheehan sealed an impressive victory for the visitors in injury-time.

Barnet came from two goals down to beat 10-man Hartlepool 3-2. Nathan Thomas opened the scoring for Pools with a well-placed strike.

Padraig Amond doubled their advantage with a close-range header but, after Liam Donnelly was sent off for bringing down John Akinde in the penalty area, the in-form Barnet striker tucked away his spot-kick.

Barnet equalised through Luke Gambin and the comeback was completed shortly afterwards when Shaun Batt converted from six yards.

Exeter scored three in the opening 45 minutes to win 3-0 at Morecambe. Under-pressure boss Paul Tisdale saw his side cruise to victory with goals from David Wheeler, Joel Grant and Lee Holmes.

Kyle Vassell struck twice to earn Blackpool a 2-2 draw at Cheltenham, who had James Dayton and Danny Wright on the scoresheet.
