Visandi is set to take advantage

- By Reg Moore sport@sundaypost.com

JONJO O’NEILL’S Visandi could be set to improve markedly on his return to the track, after 11 months off, in the opening novice hurdle at Ffos Las today.

The Aga Khan’s beautifullybred four- year- old ran unfancied at Uttoxeter a month ago. He stayed on late to take second behind easy winner, Whatduhavtoget.

A winner on the flat over 11- and- a- half furlongs in France, before moving across the Channel, his stamina will not be an issue on today’s good surface.

Perhaps Nigel TwistonDavies’ Southport will be the better of the two penalised previous winners. ButVisandi can take advantage of the 7lb they concede.

Nicky Henderson’s Might Bite can go well fresh and that gives him a big advantage in the novice chase, where he meets three opponents.

In March the seven-yearold made short work of 16 rivals at Kempton, to clear away from Simply A Legend by eight lengths.

That was after a four month break and today he resumes, having found 148 just a little taxing over hurdles, at Cheltenham, seven months ago.

At Sandown, Khezerabad can be a winner for Nicky Henderson, after a two-anda-quarter-length second to Thomas Campbell at Cheltenham 16 days ago.

Another Aga Khan-bred flat racer, he won twice on the level in France as a threeyear-old and has the profile of a gelding that can make his mark over jumps.
