Wembley PREDICTIONS

-

KENNY DALGLISH

ENGLAND 1, SCOTLAND 1.

A TOUGH game but I’m going for a draw. That would be an excellent result for Scotland and something positive for us to build on.

ALAN BRAZIL

ENGLAND 1, SCOTLAND 1.

IF Scotland have to carry any passengers, England could stroll it, but as long as all of Gordon Strachan’s players empty their tank, I believe a draw is attainable.

GORDON SMITH

ENGLAND 2, SCOTLAND 1.

IT is going to be tight, but I will be surprised if Scotland manage to win the game because England have better players than us.

RON SCOTT

ENGLAND 0, SCOTLAND 0.

ENGLAND are never as good as they think they are while Scotland are always up for Wembley, so a draw appears best bet to me. I’d be more worried if this tie was at Hampden.

DANNY STEWART

ENGLAND 0, SCOTLAND 1.

BOOKMAKERS will give Tartan Army optimists odds of 9-1 for an away win. Shocks do happen, though, so here’s hoping Scotland can conjure up the spirit of James McFadden and one glorious night in Paris.

BRIAN FOWLIE

ENGLAND 2, SCOTLAND 1.

BETTER Scotland teams than this have only beaten England three times at Wembley since 1967. An Iceland-style 10-man defence might, just might, earn the visitors a point.

SEAN HAMILTON

ENGLAND 2, SCOTLAND 0.

I HOPE I’m wrong, but I fear the demoralising performance and defeat in Slovakia has done serious damage to Scotland. England should have the players to inflict even more.

JOHN BARRETT

ENGLAND 1, SCOTLAND 0

ENGLAND will be high on possession but low on penetration. But they don’t concede many and Scotland have little up front to hurt them, so one goal will be enough.

ADAM LANIGAN

ENGLAND 1, SCOTLAND 1.

WE know the Scots always raise their game against England. They were close last time at Wembley and I just think they might sneak a point.
