ELGIN 2 STIRLING ALB. 3

A DRAMATIC last-minute goal gave Dave Mackay a winning start to his managerial career at Stirling Albion.

The home side led through a 29th-minute strike by centre-back Darryl McHardy.

Ex-Elgin man Marc McKenzie nodded in an equaliser just after the break and Blair Henderson fired Albion ahead on the hour mark.

Brian Cameron made it 2-2 in 76 minutes before 20-year-old super sub Jamie Mills grabbed a last-gasp winner for the Binos.

FORFAR 2 BERWICK 0

FORFAR stretched their lead at the top with a deserved, yet nervy, win over Berwick.

The deadlock was broken in first-half stoppage time when David Cox glanced a header into the top corner.

Berwick came close to equalising in the 66th minute when Greg Rutherford forced Grant Adam into a fine save with a back-post header.

With four minutes left, Lewis Milne wrapped things up with a low shot into the bottom corner.

ARBROATH 4 CLYDE 0

ARBROATH extended their unbeaten run to seven games as they thrashed Clyde.

The Red Lichties deservedly took the lead when Martin Scott played in Bobby Linn and he smashed the ball into the far corner.

Mark Whatley had a long-range effort saved before Scott made it 2-0 after the break from close range.

Scott scored again two minutes later before Ryan McCord completed the rout on 86 minutes, with a glorious chip.

EDINBURGH CITY 1 ANNAN ATHLETIC 0

CITY looked the livelier side in the first half, with front man Ross Allum in particular causing a series of problems for the Annan defenders.

Annan began the second half well, Darren Ramsay’s powerful effort touched on to the post by Andrew Stobie.

A goalless draw was looking the likely outcome until Ross Porteous headed home from Marc Laird’s corner eight minutes from time.

COWDENBEATH 2 MONTROSE 0

COWDEN went ahead in 19 minutes when Kris Renton was pulled down in the Montrose box by Michael Bolochowackj.

Nikolay Todorov fired the penalty high past Allan Fleming.

Nine minutes later, Montrose’s Cammy Ballantyne was redcarded for a two-footed tackle on the home side’s Craig Johnston.

Chris Templeman headed against the home woodwork just after the break.

However, the goal came at the other end in 56 minutes when Renton headed home.
