SPIDERS’ MAN CAPPED

LEAGUE 1 amateurs Queen’s Park will be without Craig McLeish for next week’s game with Brechin – as he’ll be on internatio­nal duty. The 26-year-old has been selected for the Scottish futsal team to compete in the first Home Nations Championsh­ip in Cardiff from December 2 to 4.

LEONARDO DA MAND?

CELTIC’S Italian goalkeeper Leonardo Fasan could find himself in demand during the January transfer window.

Several SPFL clubs are keen to take the 22-year-old on loan.

Fasan (below) joined Celtic from Udinese in 2010 but hasn’t played in their first team yet.

WIGHTON WANTED

PAUL LAMBERT’S Wolves have joined the race for in-demand Dundee striker, Craig Wighton.

Swansea, Southampto­n, Sunderland and Hearts have also shown interest in the Scotland Under-19 star, who signed a three-year deal with Dundee back in the summer.

SKELTON’SBACK

GAVIN SKELTON has bounced back from his parting of the ways with Queen of the South to join amateur Westmorlan­d League side Appleby.

Skelton returns to the club where he started playing 25 years ago, as he explained: “Appleby are my local side so I asked if I could join their training. Thank fully, a number of their squad wereatscho­ol with me and their captain was best man at mywedding, so I got back in.”

LOON RECOVERS

LEAGUE 2 leaders For far have received an earlyChris­tmas present with defender Michael Travis set to return after 11 months out with a knee injury.

Loons boss Gary Bollan said: “Michael has been missed and I feel that it will be like bringing a new player in as he has been out so long. All being well, he will be available for first-team action in December.”
