Smiles of the week

-

a tizz over fizz

Champagne prices have plunged, but are expected to go up again shortly. So get popping those corks for Christmas!

a fair charge

Scientists are working on a battery that’ll charge your phone in seconds. No more flat batts on nights out? All power to ’em!

Jumper to it!

It starts earlier each year, so just go with it. It’s fashionable to wear Christmas jumpers all this month, so dig them out now!

panto perfection

Whether it’s a big city spectacular or your local community’s amateur effort, a panto is a brill night out. Oh yes, it is...

check this out

Amazon will open a shop without cashiers – but we’ll stick to supermarkets WITH cashiers. We much prefer a wee chat about the weather with the checkout girl to dealing with a bleeping machine!

shop on!

We heard of a guy who was horrified by the price of a TV they wanted until a shop assistant drew them a map – to another shop where it was cheaper. Now that’s the season of goodwill!

how tweet

Judy Murray tweeted a pic of son Andy revealing a Sunday Post in the background. Andy’s not the smiliest guy, but Judy has put a grin on our faces.

treemendous news

Tomorrow is the official day to put up your tree. Hooray! So get untangling the fairy lights and dust down your baubles (if you haven’t already, obviously!).

cashing in

We’ll check our change a little closer this week as four fivers have been put into circulation featuring Jane Austen, which are estimated to be worth £20,000 each!

it’s good to talk

Owen Suskind stopped talking due to autism. Then dad Ron started chatting, pretending to be characters from Owen’s fave Disney movies. Now they’re in a movie of their own. Amazing!
