Kung Fu Panda

Overweight panda Po (voiced by Jack Black) has a passion for kung fu, though no natural ability.

Unthinkabl­y, local sensei Master Oogway (Randall Duk Kim) anoints Po as the next Dragon Warrior, who must protect their village.

Colourful visuals and great vocal performanc­es guarantee a lively and enjoyable 88 minutes of low blows and last-gasp victories.

Paddington

Paddington is raised in deepest, darkest Peru by his elderly aunt and uncle.

When tragedy strikes, the young bear is dispatched to London where Mrs Brown and her son take pity on the furry loner.

They convince Mr Brown (Hugh Bonneville) to allow Paddington to stay, but the bear also attracts the attention of taxidermis­t Millicent (Nicole Kidman).

The Lone Ranger

Tonto (Johnny Depp), a quixotic Commanche native American, encourages lawyer John Reid to find the hero within by donning a mask.

Together they hunt a dangerous outlaw.

The Lone Ranger is an entertaini­ng action adventure, distinguis­hed by Depp’s theatrics and Bojan Bazelli’s stunning cinematogr­aphy.

The Beat Beneath My Feet

Anastasia

This Oscar-winning drama was inspired by the story of Anna Anderson, a woman who claimed to be Anastasia Romanov, daughter of the ill-fated Russian Tsar.

A Russian businessma­n in 1920s Paris tries to pass off a mysterious amnesiac (Ingrid Bergman) as Anastasia.

But has he stumbled upon the genuine article?
