What was the strange noise?

-

Dear June

MY mum passed recently in hospital.

I sat, holding her hand, as we knew she was dying.

Seconds before she died I heard what sounded like a whirring noise that seemed to get louder as if drawing closer.

When the noise stopped, my mum had gone. What was this?

Anne, via email.

I’ve been told of similar experiences from quite a few people over the years.

They also experienced sounds and vibrations during the passing over of a loved one who they’d been sitting with.

It is usually experienced by the children of the dying person, who would have been ill for quite some time.

Their determination to hang on to life for the sake of those children has baffled many carers and medical personnel who are unable to understand how they physically managed to stay on this side of life.

In cases like this, where the dying person is reluctant to pass, even though their body is physically worn out, spirit gathers around them to create a stronger energy that will allow them to peacefully pass.

This is what can sometimes be heard and felt by those present.

It can be described as sounding like a helicopter rotor blade and many have also felt a vibration and a feeling of euphoria and peace (which is what the recipient would feel) as their loved one’s reluctant soul leaves and discards the physical body that can no longer serve them.

It is a wonderful gift to have experienced.
