The Family Stone Film4, 5.10pm, Tue

They say it’s better to give than to receive and the characters in this festive comedy are certainly very generous – with scathing insults, sarcasm and mocking one-liners.

The Family Stone is a beautifully written and acted ensemble piece reflecting modern concerns.

The Stag Film4, 11.25pm, Tue

Gentler than The Hangover, The Stag elicits plenty of wry smiles.
