1 LOCATION

Just a hop, skip and a jump away from the city’s bustling West End. Jordanhill train station is just across the road and there’s a small car park on-site. It’s nice and central.

2 fIrsT ImpressION­s

Cosy and homely – and very busy. It’s a pub, but customers seem to be doing more eating than drinking, which speaks volumes for the quality and price of the food. Would advise booking ahead on a weekend to be sure of a seat.

3 servICe

You order at the bar which means you can be as prompt or laid-back as you like. Our food was a little slow coming out as it was busy, but the staff couldn’t have been nicer – or more apologetic about the delay.

4 meNu

There’s a little bit of everything, steaks and salads, burgers, pasta and fish. So much choice you’ll be hard pushed to choose one dish!

5 TAsTe

We opted for the Sunday Roast all round…well, it would be rude not to, as we visited on a Sunday! And it was absolutely delicious. Both the beef and chicken melted in the mouth and the veg was cooked to perfection. A sound selection of accompanyi­ng veg, too.

6 prICe

Very reasonable. The Sunday Roast menu is just £9.50 for two courses. Our bill for four adults and a child, including drinks and desserts, was a steal at £69.

7 AmbIeNCe

Calm and relaxed. This pub oozes cosiness and has a nice roaring fire to boot. The perfect spot to chill and refuel, especially on a cold winter’s day.

8 sOmeThINg speCIAL

The puddings menu will be a huge hit with the sweet-toothed. And if you don’t fancy a full one, you can opt for a mini-plate with a coffee on the side. The salted caramel profiterol­es and Baileys sundae were to die for. Cask ales on tap, too.
