AUTHORITIES in Beijing have hit on a novel solution to an odd theft epidemic.

People using toilets in the Chinese city have been nicking the loo roll. Now users will only get sheets after having facial recognition scans.

No more sheets will then be dispensed for nine minutes.

Well, it’s certainly one way of getting to the bottom of the problem!
