No payment for poor Suki

-

MARY McLUE’s cat Suki died. It is awful when you lose a beloved pet and Mary was devastated.

Mary is in her eighties and lives alone in Longforgan, Perthshire.

However, Suki was insured with Petplan for £450.

But Petplan wasn’t very quick to pay out.

It first said that Mary had to send pedigree details (Suki was a pedigree Burmese). But Mary didn’t have them. She didn’t think, when she purchased Suki, that she’d ever need them.

She contacted the breeder, though, who was happy to speedily send the written details by recorded delivery. Mary duly forwarded these on to Petplan, but still no payment came. She contacted Raw Deal In her letter, Mary said: “£450 is a lot of money to me.”

Raw Deal agreed, £450 is a lot of money to anyone.

We got in touch with Petplan to see what the trouble was.

Petplan told us that there was no problem, which was pleasing. We suggested that it should swiftly pay Mary. And that’s what happened. Mary emailed Raw Deal to say: “Imagine my delight when I heard from Petplan informing me that £450 had been added to my bank balance.

“Thank you so much for your help in this matter.”
