All generations should cherish the joys of youth

The little girl came running down the ramp, squealing and laughing.

Her mum and gran waited at the bottom, preparing to catch her or comfort her if she fell.

“Ohh, to be young again!” Gran said, as she swept the girl into her arms.

“Would you go back if you could?” I asked.

“Not at all,” she said, passing the girl to her mother and shaking her head emphatically.

“I enjoyed my young days. But I gave my youth to my daughter, and she gave it to this little sweetheart.

“Now, all three of us get to enjoy it.”

What better use could youth be put to?
