DATE FOR THE DIARY
FORMER Dundee United attacker Aidan Connolly is heading for Wembley nearly five years after starting his career at Hampden with Queen’s Park. But the move could give his dad, Paddy, a headache.
The 21-year-old left Tannadice to join York City last summer, and scored one of the goals in a 3-2 semi-final aggregate win over Lincoln City to book a place in the Buildbase FA Trophy Final at Wembley on Sunday, May 21.
However, attending could prove troublesome to Connolly’s dad who is Alloa’s assistant manager, as the Wasps could be battling it out for a place in the Championship via the play-offs on the same day.
