HOUSE PRICES

HIGH prices have made renting the only option again for millions. The levels of home ownership fell to 63%, the lowest for 30 years, last year and almost half of 25 to 34-year-olds are now renting.

The average Scots house price is £142,000, with the UK average is £218,000.
