SWEETHEART
Founded by Lady Devorgilla in 1275 in New Abbey, near Dumfries. Her husband’s heart was buried there with her.
PAISLEY
Celebrated its 950th anniversary a couple of years back. A church has stood on the site since the 6th Century.
