How the Dons played

- By Brian Fowlie

(4-2-3-1)

JOE LEWIS 7

DIDN’T have a lot to do apart from pick the ball out of the net twice. Wonderful save from his opposite number’s last-minute header.

SHA Y LOGAN 6

THE usual lively, all-action performance from the Aberdeen right-back.

ASH TAYLOR 6

NOT the dominant performance Aberdeen would have hoped for. Grant Holt used all his cunning to peel off the big defender and score with a header.

MARK REYNOLDS 6

DIDN’T deserve to be hooked as result of his manager’s defensive reshuffle that went wrong. (NIALL McGINN 69, 6. Showed class in flashes)

ANDREW CONSIDINE 6

FAILED to stop Boyle setting up Hibs’ opener. Occasionally susceptible to a burst of pace.

RYAN JACK 7

DONS captain was composed in possession but couldn’t get a grip on proceedings when Hibs stormed back into the game and drew level.

GRAEME SHINNIE 8

WAS snapping at the heels of the Hibs players from the start and that led to his side taking a sensational lead.

KENNY McLEAN 7

LOOKED like he might run riot in midfield in the early stages but was part of the Aberdeen slump when they managed to squander a two-goal lead. Recovered his composure.

RYAN CHRISTIE 6

DESPERATE to make an impression and curled home a clever free-kick. Now has to wait and see if Celtic beat Rangers, which would rule him out of the final. (ANTHONY O’CONNOR 59, 6. Failed to stop Holt’s one-two with McGeouch at Hibs’ second).

JONNY HAYES 7

CAME to life during periods of the second half and came up with the winning goal. One of the luckiest he’ll claim but he won’t lose any sleep about that.

ADAM ROONEY 7

THE Irishman conjured up an outstanding finish just seconds after kick-off. Wasn’t present with many other opportunities throughout the rest of the game.

UNUSED subs – Alexander (Gk), Pawlett, Stockley, Wright, Stockley.
