Old notes warning

-

PEOPLE have been warned they have just four days to spend old paper fivers in shops before they become accepted only by banks or post offices.

On Friday, May 5, the old notes will no longer be legal tender, meaning people won’t be able to buy anything with them.

The Bank of England estimates there are still around 165 million old notes in circulation.
