Angela’s delight at dance TV
TV presenter Angela Rippon has spoken of her joy that BBC show Strictly Come Dancing has proven a hit.
The 72-year-old hosted a former incarnation of the show, Come Dancing, and said she was delighted the subject continued to enthral viewers.
She said: “As for Strictly I’m just thrilled we have dancing back on the screen and that it’s such a hit.”
Angela, who now presents Rip Off Britain, made TV history when she danced with comedy duo Morecambe and Wise and said the skit still brings back fond memories.
She said: “Being asked to dance with them was a huge thrill.
“They were the biggest stars on British TV at the time.”
