OBAN HARBOUR

The whole seafront area is great for people-watching, grabbing a bite to eat and just chilling out. The views are great, too.

ST CONAN’S KIRK

Worth a visit. Built on a crag, it looks out over Loch Awe. Tours are available, or just wander about yourself.

GANAVAN SANDS

A lovely stretch of beach with superb views to Mull, Lismore and Morven. There’s also a coastal walk.

PULPIT HILL

A climb or steep drive, but you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views of Oban and Mull. The sunsets are amazing here.

CORRAN HALLS

Local theatre with a diverse range of guests including John Bishop, who’s playing in August.

KILCHURN CASTLE

Contains the oldest surviving barracks on the British mainland, this is a really peaceful and spot. Perfect for picnics.

MULL

It’s a lovely holiday destinatio­n, but you can also do day trips from Oban. Worth it for the crossing alone.

DOLPHIN AND WHALE WATCHING

You can take boat tours. Choose a calm day for highest chance of getting lucky.

FYNE ALES

Like your beers? Fyne brew a fine selection! There’s a bar and shop and tours are available. End your tour with pie and beer.

FALLS OF LORA

Really pretty and scenic. Best to visit at high tide when they’re at their most spectacula­r.
