Two people found injured in house

A MAN and woman have been seriously injured after an incident at a house in East Lothian.

Police said the 34-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were found at a property on Main Street in Longniddry.

The alarm was raised at around 9.15pm on Friday.

A police spokeswoma­n said: “Police in East Lothian were called to an address in Longniddry at around 9.15pm on Friday.

“A 34-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were found with serious injuries.

“Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”

It comes just weeks after a happily married couple were found dead in their home in nearby Port Seton.

The bodies of Patricia and David Barracloug­h were found by their grown-up son in April.
