Missing man found after hunt
A PATIENT who went missing from a mental health unit in Dumfries has been found in Humberside.
Police said Abdelnabi Alainani, 30, was traced in Scunthorpe and was now in the care of officers and the NHS.
Mr Alainani sparked a huge search operation when he went missing from Midpark Hospital last week.
Police searched the Maidenbower, Calside and Georgetown areas – and initially believed he could have been in possession of a knife.
A lorry driver who travelled from Dumfries later reported spotting a man leaving his vehicle in Scunthorpe.
Police thanked the media and public for their assistance during the hunt.
