The parents who fed kids dog food

-

PARENTS are often at their wits’ end at the rubbish their children insist on eating.

But mums and dads in New Zealand were aghast when they unwittingly fed their kids dog food.

The Scooby Snack brand treats, which feature a picture of the cartoon dog on the packaging, were reported to have been accidentally placed close to the crisps and snacks aisle in the Pak ‘n Save supermarket in Whanganui.

Shoppers bought the product believing it was snacks for kids, but it was only when their little ones said how disgusting it tasted that parents read the packaging.

The company behind the supermarket chain said the treats weren’t placed near the crisps aisle, but did remove the Scooby Snacks from sale.

Will the kids put their parents in the dog house?
