HE shot to fame as fresh-faced Scott Robinson in Neighbours, but Jason Donovan is laying plans for his reaching his milestone half century.

And he’s told The Sunday Post how that includes less work and more play.

“I have my Midlife Crisis Tour at the end of the year which is kind of a celebration of turning 50 next June,” said Jason.

“I need to relax a bit more, so I’ll be making sure I spend as much time with the family as I can and chilling out at my house in the countryside.

“Being away so much can be hard when you have a family but I’m very thankful for FaceTime. It makes being away that little bit easier knowing I can see my wife and kids.”

Jason has three kids, teenagers Jemma and Zac and six-year-old Molly, with wife Angela.

And they’ve become fans of his musical career.

“The older two view me as ‘that ’80s dude’ and although they sometimes come to gigs, it’s usually me going to them for what to listen to,” he reveals.

“But Molly loves watching me perform Too Many Broken Hearts and really enjoys dancing to that at the end of a gig.”

Jason’s in Scotland for the Rewind Scotland ’80s Musical Festival next Sunday.

“It’s a really nice vibe and it’s great that all of us performers can unite everyone through our music.”
