Who will look after baby girl?

-

Dear June

My son and daughter-in-law lost their full-term baby.

My daughter-in-law was quite ill and when the hospital did tests they couldn’t find a heartbeat.

She was induced and gave birth the next day to a beautiful baby girl.

Will someone look after her?

What happens to stillborn babies?

Lorraine, Inverness.

June Says

There are many mothers who have had to go through labour with the knowledge their baby would be stillborn. I prefer to call them “sleeping babies”.

Each sleeping baby is a little individual.

From the moment of conception, a little soul starts its growth, safely cocooned within the womb.

If they are unable to finish the initial part of their journey and cannot draw breath on this side of life, they will be cared for on spirit side by family previously passed over.

No matter what age they cross over, they will be looked after by family who will love and care for them.

I have read for many parents after the loss of their child and they nearly all ask me the same question: “My family were already passed before my child was conceived and they would not know them, so who will be looking after them?”

Those family members already in spirit would have met the child on spirit side even before the parents.

Do not worry about your beautiful granddaughter as she will be surrounded by love and you will all meet her one day.

Dear June

My husband of only four years lost his life in a road traffic accident nearly 22 years ago.

He was my soulmate and I still miss him every day.

I’ve been with another partner for nine years.

Although we get on well, he knows I’ll never marry again. Our relationship is stable and we are in love.

I lost the love of my life all those years ago and no one can ever take his place.

June, Perth.

June Says

Throughout our lives we will interact with a countless amount of people but not all of them resonate.

Some we will interact with briefly, many will become acquaintances, a few special ones are close friends and one or two will change our lives for ever with their love.

We are all made differently and have characteristics that make us special. It is unfair to compare people.

We have the capability to love many people in different ways.

Deep, unconditional, genuine love, even after physical death, lasts for eternity.
